Hi
Is it possible to revert back from DX 9 to DX 8.1 by installing this earlier version of it on top?
I have encountered incompatibilities and anomalies when using DX 9 and Win 98 se.

Thanks a bunch

Doxy

Microsoft says the only way to revert back is to reinstall the OS.

The links above aren't much help. they either are for directX5 to 8.1 or for directX9 in WinXP.

The problem is that DX9 has to be supported by not only the hardware but also the hardware drivers.

Thanks Derek !!

I will try this DirectX remover first, before doing an "over the top" 98 install, and post back here with the results.
