Reply: (edit)I can tell you an indirect way of getting glide2x.dll. Go to www.gamespot.com. On left hand side click "downloads". Choose the game "Need for Speed II SE". Download it, unzip it, then run the executable, it would create some of directory structure, and in it you will find glide2x.dll My question is - once I have glide2x.dll, how do i install it?

Reply: (edit)Glide2x.dll is only for voodoo 3d cards... It does in your windows\system directory... You can find it at www.3dfx.com/view.asp?Page=nusdrivers There's also a nice explanation about the driver at: http://support.atitech.ca/infobase/2880.html

Reply: (edit)Listen up people, you need to pay attention to the posts prior to requesting files. First off, the GLIDE libraries, aka Glide2x, 3x, etc. can ONLY be used with a 3dfx Chipset. If you don't know if you have one or not, just look up the manufacturer of your video card, and contact them. They'll tell you whether it'll do you any good. Since most of you are just requesting this file for games, then I suggest you just use the D3D hardware acceleration, as it's the most responsive, other than Glide libraries. For all of you non 3dfx chipset Cardholders, I suggest to you that you go to the game creators' website, (Im sure they have one) And look for a patch for your corresponding game. As for you Graphics people like me, I suggest to you that you avoid Glide at all costs, as it'll only do more harm than good with Graphics capabilities. Try to stick with something like D3d, or if you have to, Just use OpenGL. I think it's much more advanced than windows' version of the same...err...Glide I mean. lol Hope this helps some of you out there. Oh I almost forgot, if you still think you HAVE to have the Glide2x or 3x library, then Go to http://www.3dfx.com And look for it in their drivers section. As where it has always been.
