seems you don’t need to get into bios (but anyway it can be reached by pressing all keys on keyboa5d during boot by this way required key will be found) just wait all two floppies loading completed and run windows setup program from CD you most probably have.

Hello,
When you first turn on your computer, there will be a power on self test (POST) screen that should tell you how to enter your BIOS. It might say something like "press * to enter setup". If it doesn't tell you, try hitting delete, F1, or F2 on the post screen. These are some common keys. Once in there, change the boot order so that the CD boots before the hard disk.
If you absolutely can't figure out how to enter the BIOS, just go to www.bootdisk.com and download a bootdisk for your respective operating system. Choose to start the computer with CD-ROM support. You MAY be able to run setup that way. Post back with results.
Good Luck,
~winipcfg

Is it just me, or is USB taking over the world?

Do you get `anything' on the monitor screen?
Do you get an initial single beep?

If you don't, then your system probably has a serious hardware problem.

When you get into BIOS, set the boot order to CD drive before floppy drive.
Insert your disc and restart the PC...

To clarify...

start tapping f1 / f2 about 1 time per second as soon as you see the blue HP splash screen. That should get you into bios
