First you get on the insternet without the router, just the modem. After that works then install the router as per instructions from the manufacturer. Should be a breeze.

If you already have a Broadband ISP account, please clarify the following:

1. Is your Cable/DSL Router connected from its WAN or Modem Port to the LAN Port of the Broadband Modem using a Cat5 patch cable with RJ45 plugs?

2. Are your Computers Networked via CAT5 Cable [and not
Crossover Cable
]from the numbered ports of the Router to the RJ45 Jacks of NICs of both PC?

3. If 1&2 above are in the affirmative, what happens when you try to launch your Browser after selecting the option (.)" I want to setup my internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)" and completing the setup through the Internet Connection Wizard? If you are getting any error message, please post it verbatim.
