Generic webcam drivers??

Help.. I have a web cam that i have had for years.. i had not used it in a long time and have since gotten new pcs and reformatted my hard drives. so apparently my drivers are gone.... now when i look aorund for my install disc i cannot find one. but here is the kicker. the camera has no lables or markings on it whatsoever.. soi cannot remrmber the name of the maker. are there generic drivers for these?? help.. I am clueless here
i am having a similar problem, my alaris usb wee cam, a tiny little camera, i can't install because it does not have driver signing, and conflicts with xp, i've checked with alaris.com, and they only have a 98, and 2000 drivers, is there a way i can install generic drivers for my webcam? -Z
