I've been reasearching GPF in GDI.exe. This is what I have found so far:
1. Update Video Drivers 2. Get the lattest version of GDI.exe 3. Reduce the hardware acceleration To do this, go to Control Panel, System. Click the Performance tab and click Graphics. Drag the Hardware acceleration slider to None.
GDI stands for Graphics Device Interface
When GDI.exe incounters something that it doesn't know how to display it causes a General Protection Fault. The usual causes are fonts, screen savers and ICONS.
