I have a Compaq Evo D300v, (Celeron 1.3/384MB RAM with Win 98SE and the latest relevant drivers installed. The sounddrivers (SoundMAX Digital Intergrated Audio) are installed, and the sound plays fine in normal applications and games. However I have a problem when playing MP3's. They seem to skip, and play far too quickly. I've tried the same files on other computers, and they work perfectly. Ive even tried to copy the files to Hard Disk , but they sound the same. I've tried adjusting all the audio properties, eg full hardware acceleration, etc, but cant seem to sort it out. Ive even tried installing the drivers again, but to not avail. Can anyone help??
