I upgraded from WIN/95 TO 98. For some reason my game controler ( Joystick ) isn't working. I installed the joysticks driver software and loads ok, but when I go to select it and click and nothing happens. I tried to change the option-Standard Port- and still nothing happens. I went to Compaqs website but, nothing there, and called them. CPU SPECS= Compaq Presario 2200 Win 98

Scott, There are two steps to setting up Joystick, and I couldn't tell from your post, if you had done both. First, the gameport or joystick device has to be setup in the "sound video and game controllers" section of your device manager. This is part of the sound card drives installation. Go to 'control panel'/'system'/'device manager'. Look in the 'sound' etc.section and see if there is a line for joystick device. If not, reinstall sound card drivers. Next, after pluging in the joystick, go to 'control panel' again, open 'game controllers', click 'add', and setup your joystick. Hope this helps, Al

Scott, You click add if it's not already there. If it's there, go to advanced, and set it up. Al
