Second posting. Had to reinstall Win98 to fix a missing dll. Now, my monitor won't acknowledge color settings beyond the default 16. Tried going to Device Manager and deleting the driver for the adapter card, to let Win reboot and detect it. But nothing changed. Still the same message: "There is a problem with your display settings. The adapter type is incorrect, or the current settings do not work with your hardware." When i try to change things in Display, i get the message "Remember, this is for troubleshooting only. You'll have to Restart"--- and i do--- and the cycle begins again. My specs R:

Intel 740 video card eh? Goto www.windrivers.com go under video cards under intel get the latest 740 graphics driver... Make sure windows recognizes your monitor and you install the inf file properly... there shouldn't be any problems then...
