While cruising the net at any given time the system stops responding to anything. the mouse moves but I can't click on anything. The only option is to reset the system. I am told that at one time when the computer had done its scheduled maintenance checks it came up with some registry faults that I have yet to see. If this is a registry problem I have no clue as to how to fix it. I have not seen any good software dedicated to windows(98) registry repair, if thats what it is. Any help would be appreciated!!

Ijust got thru having the same problem. The only clue was that the system had been running for a long time and at one time had 8-10 apps running together. After shutting the apps down, the system would freeze while on the net. I eventually shut the system down...the hard way, as it would not go down normally. When I came up everything was as it should be. I believe memory became screwed up...can't prove it. Try turning off your system.
