free trojan/virus removal

ive been infected with BackDoor.Generic.665 Trojan.Virtumod Trojan.Downloader
i have avg and it has only removed some of the problem. im still infected and need free removal software.

If you know the name of the virus symantec will normally have specific programs you can download to remove them.

If AVG detected them it should be able to remove them, unles they are in use or in the temp file directory. Have you deleted the temp internet and off line content files? Then restart your computer and enter the "safe mode"(tap the F8 key or the F/delete key that your computer uses to enter the "safe mode'. When you are in the "safe mode" run AVG and see if it can clean/delete the files.

With AVG I get virus' in my restore "buffer" to get rid of them I have to switch off restore and reboot - gets rid of the virsu but I lose my restore points
