Just read about those other hidden folders inside "Temporary Internet Files" folder. I used to think I knew how to find those hidden folders before.Inside Windows "View" "Folder Options" and then go to MsDos, change the attributes on the folders. But now---- went to the suspected folder ---- "View" "Customize this folder" and then removed the customization. Bam --- there they are. Check it out. You still might need Dos to delete the index.dat files.

There is an easier way to find those files and a few more. Go to the Run box and type winfile. This will bring up the old W31 style File Manager (complete with truncated short name format). Now have a look in temporary internet files (tempor~1) and you will find the true picture. Windows Explorer tells you what MS either wants or thinks you want to see. Look also and see how different things are in: c:\windows\downloaded program files. If you want to work on things in DOS winfile can be quite useful. Derek
