Just read about those other hidden folders inside "Temporary Internet Files" folder. I used to think I knew how to find those hidden folders before.Inside Windows "View" "Folder Options" and then go to MsDos, change the attributes on the folders. But now---- went to the suspected folder ---- "View" "Customize this folder" and then removed the customization. Bam --- there they are. Check it out. You still might need Dos to delete the index.dat files.
Search for tons of threads on this forum (and ME as well) as Ren Man and SMUOD are members of Computing.Net (and I am the translator for the French version of delIndex).

There is an easier way to find those files and a few more. Go to the Run box and type winfile.
This will bring up the old W31 style File Manager (complete with truncated short name format).
Now have a look in temporary internet files (tempor~1) and you will find the true picture. Windows Explorer tells you what MS either wants or thinks you want to see.
Look also and see how different things are in: c:\windows\downloaded program files.
If you want to work on things in DOS winfile can be quite useful.
