Thanks to all who replied to my earlier posting of the problem I was experiencing connecting to the Net. After a little experimentation I seemed to have solved the problem myself. Apparently, TCP/IP settings, files etc. can become corrupted over time and after deciding that my problem was with data flow I removed my TCP/IP, restarted my computer and then added it fresh from my Win 98 CD and having "refreshed" the settings etc., the problem has disappeared. Hope this helps anyone else having this type of problem. Feel free to email me for a step by step if needed..
