i want to format my computer, but when i do the screen can only be selected at 640'420 or sompthing like that not exactly sure, and my color only can be set at 16 colors. my question is i dont have the disc's to install the video card drivers but how can i check the model of my video card so i can get the driveres off the internet. and another question do i have to install my sound card as well?

Take it out and inspect it for a manufacturer and model. If this is unsuccessful, try and find the fcc# and run a trace on it at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/

It's not necessary to install your sound card if you don't need any sound.

dear fellow you can open your computer, go to the video card, copy the number of the chip and the manufacturer and go to the web site of the manufacturer get the drivers from there
