Comment: i want to format my computer, but when i do the screen can only be selected at 640'420 or sompthing like that not exactly sure, and my color only can be set at 16 colors. my question is i dont have the disc's to install the video card drivers but how can i check the model of my video card so i can get the driveres off the internet. and another question do i have to install my sound card as well?

Reply: (edit)Take it out and inspect it for a manufacturer and model. If this is unsuccessful, try and find the fcc# and run a trace on it at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ It's not necessary to install your sound card if you don't need any sound.
