Format HDD at startup by editing "autoexec.bat" file

Do I understand you corectly...? "you want to format your HD as you boot-up???"

If that is what you're asking, then... you can't... Usually one formats 'the' HD from a DOS/'9x boot disk... since one needs at least a few items from DOS/'9x, including the format util, to be available throughout the process; and if you format the HD - then they're all gone...

Or are you really wanting to do something a little different to what I understand???

Our jokester is at work again. Note the "e-mail me" in the post and then note the e-mail address "lemon.peel@att.net"

Also, have you noticed how the Jokester constantly posts suggestions to people to format their drive to solve whatever the problem is? And this post is about formats again.

/u (unconditional--every byte destroyed..no unformat possible)
