Yeah I want to format my harddrive but my Windows 98 won't start. Is there anyway to format the harddisk without restarting in MSDos. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
Use the Win 98 emergency startup disk. Restart computer with disk in floppy drive. Start Windows without CD-ROM support. The floppy will create a directory containing the format program and other tools. Switch over to that directory and run format. I suppose any bootable floppy disk containing the format program will also work.
