I want to use the computer just for word processing so I decided to wipe the system clean and start again- I prepared a boot disk formated the hard disk - All went well until I attempted to reinstall he windows 95 cd With the set up disk I obtain in A prompt but neither the cd readers can switched to. Thus I can not reinstall Windows. On boot up it shows that both cd readers as installed.

You may require additional CD drivers to be copied to the floppy disk. Do you know what CDrom is installed and how it is connected?

The best way to boot a Windows 95 PC with appropriate CD-ROM drivers is to download the bootdisk image from BootDisk.com.
You can use your current setup diskette for the process. It's pretty much as simple as double-clicking the file you download and following the instructions.
Select the correct image (some come with and others without the generic Oak CD-ROM drivers).
