In the last 1-1/2 months I've had severe problems with all of my fonts disappearing except "Fixedsys" and "System". I'm running Windows 95 on a machine with an AMD K-6 200 chip.
I have reinstalled Windows about 4 times and Office 97 Pro about 30 times, I've reinstalled graphics adapter drivers and printer drivers, etc. -- everything I could think of. Up until now I have somehow managed to get my fonts back after reinstalling one, some, or all of these things but am having no success now. I've been reading through these and other postings trying to get some ideas and found one -- the number of fonts on my system.
I had almost 1000 fonts and have since removed about 1/2 of them. Then I reinstalled Office yet again (trying to get the Tahoma font back) and that didn't work. I tried installing Tahoma from the Font Viewer in the Control Panel and could not because it was already installed. I moved Tahoma out of the Fonts folder and then tried to install, and got the error message that the font was corrupt. As a matter of fact, I got the same message for every font I tried to install. Then I went to Bitstream Font Navigator and it showed no fonts were installed. I tried dragging fonts (many) over to the Install window and kept getting the message that the font could not be installed.
Does anyone have any ideas??? Your help would be most appreciated!
Thanks much,

You shouldn't have to do all that just for a font. I think you had other problems, but with all the removing and installations, it's hard to figure it out. I would have hit the format key long ago, install things one at a time, run them for awhile and if they run okay, install another, and so on. You should be able to just select a font and install it, from anywhere, unless it's not in a format that is not recognized which is rare. Have you tried dragging and dropping a font into your Windows/Fonts folder?

I had the same problem - I rebuilt the machine and installed everything - I also tried using BitStream Font Navigator. I'm on a Compaq EP 450. The message I got when i tried installing more fonts with Bitstream was that I had reached my Font limit - I had no idea that there was such a thing as font limitation - I tried researching for Font Utilities that would help overcome this limitation or find ways to increase whatever limit had been pre-set. I saw an article on Font Box - talks about removing duplicated fonts, amongst other things. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet though - does anyone have a solution?!

I HAVE MANY ARABIC FONTS WHICH I CAN SEE IN THE PROGRAMS WHEN I DO MY DESAIGENG BUT THY DONT COM I PRINTING . WHAT SHALL I DO ?

I am having a problem that seems to come and go. When I go tio my fonts control panel there is no "Install New Font" selection in the File drop down menu. I have see this condition over the years but don't know what cuses it or how to fix it.
