had problem with fonts display only square instead of regular font in some window like the MSN sign in .net sign in was only square. and other warning window. just remove all fonts installes after 2000 to another folder named fonts2 just keeping fonts from before and everything is working fine. So I will add fonts little by little to see which one or at how many font it is doing that. Thanks for looking.

You can use the program Character Map (in Start>Programs>Accessories>System)to look at fonts. Also there ae many freeware font viewers on the internet. You can then look at the fonts to make sure they are a "full set" many font files only have a partial set of characters, therefore the "square boxes". Do not use XP fonts for anything other than XP.
