REgarding: HP Pavillion 6540C, Windows 98, Micrsoft Works 4.5a.

Actually, I have two problems...One,

All of the fonts that I installed worked on MSWorks. Now, they do not. I tried reinstalling, etc. and they still do not show up in Works or Paint shop pro. What can I do?

Also, When My desktop comes up on the screen, I get a message that an important HTML file is missing and asks me to turn of Active Desktop.

Please help me....Thanks, Rowe

It may be that you have installed the "Standare/Generic text only" printer. With it installed, your fonts are restricted. Delete that printer in the My Computer/printer will cure the problem.

[2] Active Desktop
If you use active desktop with view as Web page, the customized view of the folder is set under a html file. It would be rather tricky to deal with. Maybe you would be better off by trying not to use view as webpage for customized active desktop.
