Hi,

I am running Win95a on a Packard Bell 4610, Pentium, 120 mhz/72 RAM, IE 5.01, SP#2.

I was just exploring my recent "bootup log" and noticed that towards the end of it I had between 75-100 'font loadings' that were listed as failures.

The first one, as an example, read:
LoadStart = F:\fonts\ttf\algerinn.ttf
LoadFail = F:\fonts\ttf\algerinn.ttf Failure code is 0005

Everything else loading on the bootup log is successful. Only these fonts are failures.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks and Regards,

Phil

Hi Phil, hello everyone,

Nothing to be concerned with Phil. It is very common to see the font failures in the bootlog.txt.

From Microsoft:

"After you first start Windows, the Bootlog.txt file may list many font load failures. This behavior is typical. When Font Manager searches the hard disk for fonts, it may find fonts in several folders. After Font Manager finds fonts, it records the information so that future attempts to locate a font proceed more quickly".

Best regards and wishes,
Mesich

Hi Mesich and all,

Thanks for the super fast reply Mesich. I really appreciate it. First time I've had you on one of my posts since a few months back when I was inquiring how to save "registry" settings. Your imput is always most welcome and appreciated, by not only myself, but all 'our' forum users.

Thanks for the link to the other possible load failures listed in the bootlog.txt. I will check it out and then save it for future reference.

Once again, thanks and regards,

Phil
