I have a petty little problem.

I'm using Outlook Express 5.0 and have the screen setup in a 2 pane
arrangement. i.e.
- Menus & tools bars (including a toolbar for the mail folder)
- mail headers
- mail bodies

The mail folders are on a drop down menu. When I click on the mail folder
toolbar, I get the drop down menu and all folders are maximized showing all
sub folders. Some folder names (particularly some Usenets) have very long
names. As a result, the window is scrolled to the right to show the right of
the longest folder name thereby obscuring most of the shorter folder names
on the left.

I can't find a way to increase the width of the drop down menu.

I can minimize some of the folders and they stay minimized for the session
but the next time I open OE, they are maximized again.

Therefore, how can I either:
- set these mail folders to stay minimized or
- how can I increase the size of the drop down mail folder window or
- set the drop down menu to always stay scrolled to the left
so that the shorter named mail folders are no obscured.

Wow! What a complicated explanation for a stupid little problem!

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks,
Gary Coulter
