When I boot my machine into Win 95, The floppy disk starts seeking for the next 2 mins, unless I put a disk in the drive, I have scanned for viruse any ideas???
Several posible reasons. 1) do you have any shortcuts in either your start-up folder or on your desktop that are pointing to a file on your a: Drive? If so you need to delete them. 2) check your documents folder off your start button and see if any of the files listed there were on your a: Drive. If so then this is the problem. To resolve the problem go to c:\windows\recent folder, where you will find a listing of all your recent files, delete the one which is from a floppy.
One of these should resolve your problem. If not please e-mail me at mntucker@puritanquartz.com and I will work you through it.
