The floppy will Read fine at startup; booting from it, formatting, etc. but once windows starts the disk will start to read, format or anything else; then then says no disk in drive in the middle of reading, formatting, etc. I don't get it. I've tried editing bios, switching drives, and cables, but no effect. I think windows is doing somthing but I have no Idea how windows 2000 will do with the drive it won't boot. it complains with an "INACCESABLE BOOT DEVICE" stop error. Maybe it doesn't see the floppy or somthing, or maybe it was because I removed the 2014 MB primary slave. I copied it contents onto the 40GB primary master. Really no need for it anymore. I put it in my "secondary computer" because it didn't have one now I was going to try to connect then via serial or LPT cable. My main PC is a compaq prolinea 5100 (1995 bios, have to use EZ-Drive to use 40GB HD).

Hello Startre,
Problem occured by your computer with the floppy disk drive seems to be the drive itself... corrupted or disconnected or damaged for any unknown reason.
is this computer used by many differents persons ?
