Before we start this;

1. Do either of your CD drives have the ability to record?
2. Do you have blank CD-R disks?
3. Are you running XP Home or Windows 95/98?

I am running XP home. I have blank CD-R . I have two CD drives. How do I tell whether I can copy onto them? I have never tried to do this. I know I can copy a CD music disk onto my itunes. Thanks for your interest in helping me.

I'm not sure why you posted this on the W95/98 forum rather than XP.

I should think the chances are that at least one of the drives is a CD/DVD burner. You can verify this by typing msinfo32 in the Run box and hitting Enter key. On the screen that arrives double click "Components" and look at the sub-heading CD-ROM which will give the names of the devices. Google will tell you which one(s) is the burner - if any.

Have you any burning software, such as Nero? If so once you start the program it will probably tell you which device(s) to use. You then put the floppy in the drive and add the file/files onto the burning screen.

If you haven't any software (rather unlikely) then the freebie CDBurnerXP will do it:-
