I am trying to upgrade my BIOS, which either Phoenix or Intel, not sure. My computer is a Dell 333c and when I download the flash-BIOS upgrade from the Dell site and run it, it says it can't flash the BIOS because of installed memory managers. Anyone know what's going on? E-mail me if so. Thanks!

Are you running the BIOS update straight from downloading it? You should be creating a bootable disk and putting the update program in there and then booting up the computer.

run in Dos Safe-mode command prompt so your memory managers don't load

just copy the system files to a floppy AND the update program and boot off that floppy and run the program. himem.sys is the memory manager its refering to. bios upgrades can only be run from dos, not windows.
