I was told that since I have windows 98 on my system, I would not be able to use a flash memory stick, by a Tiger Direct salesman.

If your machine has USB ports, then you will of course be able to use a flash stick.

I 'think' it depends upon the stick. The drivers for 'some' sticks require WinXP.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

I have USB ports. I guess I have to be aware of what software works with 98se.

You will need to install drivers for the device. If you are purchasing, verify Win98 compatibility.
