I need a flash drive that is compatible with Windows 98 (not SE, I have the first version). Which ones will do this?

From my own limited experience, pretty well all of them; but for '98 you usually need to acquire drivers too. These are either provided with the stick (in the package) or available at the web-site for the stick/manufacturer.
Occasionally you may find one works with '98SE as is - no apparent need to provide drivers.; but as for '98FE... I'm guessing the additional drivers will be required regardless?
For W2K/XP there is (usually) no need to provide additional drivers.
For a given make etc. there will ("orta") be appropriate info on the relevant web-site?

It may be hard to even find one that works with FE. Seems like all the ones I've seen require at least SE.

My Personal Experience would agree with post #1. I have 5 different Thumb/flash drives and have gone to the manufactures web and downloaded the Windows 98 SE Drivers for all five and installed on to Windows 98 FE and have been able to use all of them in Win98FE.
Even though all of the web sites said the drivers were for Windows 98SE.
The following are what I have and will work with Windows 98FE. Lexar Media Jump Drive 64MB USB 1.1 Memorex TD 2C 512MB USB 2.0 SanDisk Drive 128MB USB 1.1 Kingston DataTraveler 1 GB USB 2.0 And finally: PNY Attache 2 GB USB 2.0 Just purchased to day Best Buy $34.00 and installed Windows 98 SE Drivers from their web site onto my Windows 98FE works great.
