I just recently aquired a FinePix 3800 Digital Cam and was wondering if its possible to take pics that will automatically be transferred to my pc via the USB cable? My cam was given to me without a memory card and there is no internal memory as far as I know. So any advice would be appreciated.

With no internal memory, it's not likely that you'll have much luck (it has to write to somewhere). Besides, XD Memory is pretty cheap nowadays anyway:

can't it write directly to my computer through the usb cable though? I have a regular webcam and I'm able to take pics with that, so figured since the digi cam runs through the usb, thought it might have the same effect

Might work but I think you'll soon tire of taking pictures all within 6 feet of your computer.
