To find the IP address in Win9x:
Start/Run/type WINIPCFG then click on OK

Hi, Knowing the other parties IP address wouldn't help you trace who was actually on the other end or where they where from. The chances are that 2/3 of peeps connecting are using a dial-up connection through an ISP, that means that the IP address will be dynamically set, which means everytime they log on they get a different IP address. If however they were a broadband user, their IP address may well be static (No-way of tracing as far as I know), unless their broadband ISP houses a ip pooling situation which means that every 24 hours they release your IP address and re-assign you another one.
