Files to folders.

Hi I'm sure this is a simple question but still I don't know.How do I move files from different folders?I mean say I have a pic called dog how do I move it to a folder called animals?I know how to drag files into folders but not move them from folder to folder.Most of my stuff is in Mydocuments.Thanks for any help. Johnny

I'm sure there will be lots of different answers on this one. One way is to right click the file, select CUT. Then go to the new folder, right click it then click PASTE.

dragging/dropping them moves them. if you would like to send the same file to several folders or leave it where it is and send a copy someplace else right click the file choose copy then paste it where ever you want it.

With drag and drop you can either copy of move. Use the right mouse button to drag. When you get to the destination and release the button, it will ask you if you want to move or copy. It's a good idea to always use the right mouse button for drag and drop.

Just open the folder that contains the files and the other folder you want to transfer to, then drag from one to hte other.
