I have files that were accidently deleted from recycle bin. Can anyone tell me how I can restore them or find a program for recovering the missing files?

They're gone. Reinstall the program they came from and the missing ones should be put back in.

You could try the Undelete program which is on the Win Cd [x:\other\oldmsdos]if not something that can be re-installed or you could lash out and buy Norton Utilities which has an excellent file recovery program for Windows and Dos called 'Unerase'. this can probably recover the rest of the DEAD SEA scrolls. Of course if you have formatted or defragged your drive your files are down the gurgler.

If you are using an NT system (NTFS file system) You can use File Scavenger to recover the lost files...no problem. As far as windows 9x, there are several programs you can use, one of which is Nortons Utilities as mentioned above. However, this CAN BE DONE even if you have formatted or defragged! Unless, that is, data has been written to the portion of your hard drive where the deleted files were originally written. If the files are small, this is much less likely. It is worth a try.

Hello. I was unistlling a program (in win95), and when i unistll the program, the program said me that some files was no completly deleted, and he ask me if i´ll like to delet, and i said yes. Then the unistlling program deleted me all files that was in that hard disk.(my hard disk is divide in two drives, C and D) he deleted me D disk. What can i do now to recover my files. (after i lost my files i unistall win95 and istall win98), ¿can i recover? i only format the drive C, this is the drive where i didn´t have my files, so i want to know if i can recover? thank´s i´ll wait for your answer. gabrielrh@email.com
