At intial startup screen says file missing or corrupted in C:\CDROM\IDE.SYS Error on line five of CONFIG.SYS IS THIS FIXABLE?

You could probably just rem out the line in your config.sys

Go to notepad, open up the file config.sys in your root dir of c: and go to line 5 and type REM before that line eg.
REM C:\CDROM\IDE.SYS
This shouldn't cause any problems as Windows shouldn't need dos drivers to run the CDROM, if it does you can always get rid of the REM command but then you'd be back where you started.
