What is the file manager and can I delete anything form this file safely
you can use file manager in win9x. i prefer it to explorer so i use it as well as explorer.

Bubba Yes you can delete from the File Manager BUT the files will NOT go to the Recycle Bin. They are permanently and irretrievably deleted. Yoa can use File Manager nearly the same as Explorer with a few subtle differences. eg if you move or copy files in File Manager they will have short name format, and then will appear in Explorer only with short name.
