Why all of a sudden, are my GIF files changing themselves to GFA files..even if I originally saved them as a GIF??

This just started happening recently. The GIFs that are already on my computer are fine, it's when I save new ones that it messes up. It'll say it's being saved as a gif yet, when I look at it, it's saved as a gfa..what could have caused that?

Sounds a bit strange - that extension is associated with Microsoft PhotoDraw images though

It might help to know just what application you are saving with

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

You may need to update/upgrade your Internet Explorer.
