Hi, I've got a problem with an extraction utility called WinRAR. I've researched on this and found the problem, but I'm just wondering if there is a solution.
Basically the problem is, I downloaded this program that's precisely 2.63 GB. Now, it was zipped using WinRAR, though, when I try to extract the file inside which, uncompressed is a whopping 4+ GB, I repeatedly get the error 'Write error: only NTFS file system supports files larger than 4 GB'. I run off of FAT32 so this is understandable, but I cannot convert to NTFS for two reasons. One, I don't possess Windows XP, and two, I have nowhere to back-up my mass of files. So, I'm curious, is there a program out there that might be able to bypass this error? I really want these files and I would be extremely grateful.-Mike-

There is no way you can use a 4gb+ file in win98 even if you found a way to uncompress it. Win98 has a 2gb file size limit.

Are you sure there is no possible way to extract that files inside the .rar file that's -in- the .rar file? I mean, it's one file in the .rar file, bit -it- alone is too large to extract. What I -want- are the files inside that second .rar file.

Aha! Nevermind everyone. Problem solved. *taps noggin* I'm an average genius. ^_^ All I had to do was download a non-official extraction device, in this case BitZipper. It worked just fine. Thanks anyway. :P
