I downloaded a bunch of southpark episodes.
I hate .RM, bc you can run them in windows media player. So I want to convert them into somthing that is good quality and each file is not over 51mb. I do not mind paying for a program. The most important thing is there not over 51mb, good quality.

Thank You,
Metthew

Not really what you asked but I wonder if this link might interest you:

REAL ALTERNATIVE

RealPlayer can be tamed but I accept that in it's downloaded form it is a pain (has been known to incorporate spyware).

Way back when there was a program called Streambox Ripper that could do this conversion. Not sure if it is still around (RealPlayer took them to court).

Fine, just thought that might interest you.

I've just checked out StreamBox Ripper (not sure whether you did) and it does say it no longer converts due to legal issues. This I think is going to be your problem. I don't think you will find a "legal" program that does what you are asking.

There is another way to tackle it and that is to get hold of TotalRecorder. This will record anything that plays on your machine (into .wav files unless they have improved it). The file size might be a problem but there are a stack of free programs that convert to mp3 which is much smaller.

.... just realised that you are probably talking about video, not just sound (southpark means nothing to me in UK). In which case TotalRecorder is no good, it's just sound.

I don't fancy your chances but hang on in case someone else knows something that will do it.

Try out 1.3 first.

Virtualdub also stopped it's ability to mess with realmedia files due to legal issues. But these are older versions, so predate the change.

Streambox ripper is the best rm converter before, but now it can't support real 10 audio format.

You can use Mini-stream Ripper from http://www.mini-stream.com. It is the best music converter I have ever used currently.
