Good Morning,
I recieved this error message 'Fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C905A3EF in VXD WIN95AC.' This PC was just purchase. It is a Compaq 96MB of ram 4gig hard drive windows 98 operating system this problem occurred when I was trying to log into my job Citrix Meta Frame server using a modem dial in connection. Please give me some guidence on what could be going on and what this error message means.
Thanks
Greta Williams

Call the compaq helpline they'll put you through to Compaq technicians, who'll fault find it for you....
0181 3323666if you have tried this without success tell me what model of compaq you have ie
presario, armada, deskpro etc and the model numberGod Speed !

I've got the same problem, different computer. Have you found any solution? It does the same thing if I try setting up Lotus Notes.

I work for a var in Bessemer, AL. I had a customer come in with a simlar error. Getting "fatal exception in VXD WIN95AC." She was trying to login to Citrix Winframe server and was getting the BSOD right after putting in her login information.
I tracked down the cause to her PCI WinModem (in her case an AOpen manufactured, Rockwell-based modem). The WIN95AC.VXD is one of the driver files for the WinModems.
If you are getting these erros the simplest solution (and the one I chose for our customer), was to replace the WinModem with a traditional, ISA based JUMPERABLE modem. These work under any operating system and don't require the drivers that the WinModems do.
I don't know what manufacturer compact uses, but it is probably Rockwell-based too. Try getting a real modem and see if that fixes it, or you could pressure tech support at Citrix to see WHY it causes a BSOD with the WIN95AC.VXD.
