Dear Reader,
Since I bought my new system I'm experiencing these error when moving/deleting/installing files.
This could be a hardware problem, but I don't know for sure.
The full errorline is: "Fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C00450E3 in VXD VFAT (01) + 0000306B".
Does anyone know what this problem is?
HW: Abit KT7 RAID SocketA M/B 2 (!) Maxtor DaimndMax+ 30.7 GB 7200rpm (put in RAID 0) AMD 800 Mhz. 256MB SDRAM Asus V7100MX GeForce-2 video out Creative SB Live 1042

from what I've seen on the web, it sounds like faulty RAM

also might wanna do a search for "VFat(01)" online for other possibilities.

NOT hardware. It's your FAT (file allocation tables.) You can try booting and doing fdisk /mbr to redo the master boot record, booting to dos and running scandisk/complete, or using a third-party software such as partition magic. In worst case, repartition and reformat. If you want background on VXD errors, check the article at www.techtony.com
