I have the same problem, except mine is OE 0177:BFF8CC04. I wish I could find a solution. I had installed a bunch of software before it happened. Maybe we should compare software. let me know what you want to do and I will list mine out.

My 700 mHz HP Pavilion Pentium III, 256 RAM,28.5 GB hard drive, Windows 98 SE is giving me the following error message:

A Fatal OE Exception has occurred at 018F:BFF9DFFF

This ALWAYS occurs at shutdown. I changed the video card a little while ago, but it seems that these fatal error messages were happening BEFORE the ATI video card was put in.

When these occur, it causes me to have to do a "hard" shutdown which is obviously not good for the hard drive. I have Norton System Works along with Norton Personal Firewall running, but again these occurred BEFORE any of that was installed.

Is there anyone who can point me in the general direction of THAT particular fatal oe exception error message? I haven't been able to find any reference on that particular message. I think one guy put it best when he said...help me find a cure, before I crack up (lol)

John
