I've been looking around sites to find tech support info about all our little VXD friends, and so far am having a difficult time finding anyhting that has to do with MSTCP . I keep getting various fatal exception errors on different workstations , and am learning about each one individually. I have checked other sites including the "vxd site" and have used the batch file for Win95, but still trying to figure out the BSOD with the vxd MSTCP?? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

From your note you say your learning from other workstations so the fe you should have figured out by now. vxd-virtual extended device(device driver), MSTCP Microsoft TCP/IP Protocol in the network settings. (A protocol is a set of rules and standards that enable computers to exchange information.)
Somewhere your either your networking has either gotten corrupted or pull a windows thing. But the MSTCP errors are tryingto tell you to check the connectin address you are using. Usually I have the most problem with mine trying to either pick up or deleting old tcp addresses, it's not usually a full reinstall or anything. Just have to go in and do it all by hand. As you refer to workstations my suggestion is to talkto the administrator.

I kinda thought it might have something to do with the TCP/IP address. I'll check it out and maybe change the IP.
I am the LAN/system admin. and it would seem that 80% of our WIN95b wrkstns are experiencing BSOD and illegal op messages as well as a lot of hanging and freezes. I'm trying to work on each one as the problem arises. I'm new at it and working on a newly upgraded Novell network. And it looks like I got a lot of work ahead....Thanks for your reply
