I get exactly the same "Fatal Exception error OD at 0028:C000B28A in VXD VMM(01) + 0000A28A" as user raspberry (http://www.computing.net/windows95/wwwboard/forum/157450.html) when trying to copy large folders from my WIN98-PC into the briefcase on my labtop. The programm starts but after 1-2 minutes the error occurs. Of course copies in the briefcase are incomplete then. With some other folders (containing fewer files) it works o.k. I completely formated the WIN98-PC and reinstalled WIN98 SE from OEM-CD just some days ago. Just necessary mainboard drivers and all available security updates for windows98 plus antivir scanner were installed. The error occurs also when antivir scanner is removed. Rainer Rainer Krause

Thank you! I think that is pointing into the right direction. The WMP-9-serie is not working, too. I guess the two problems are connected. In the meantime I have disabled all drivers in the Audio-Video-driver section apart from only one audio driver. No more fatal errors. But of course WMP still does not work. And it will not update. I don't know how to uninstall. Seems difficult. Rainer.
