I don't see that exact error in my notes, but a VXD is a virtual device driver and VMD is a virtual mouse driver. The 0028 has something to do with two or more things trying to use the same area at once. Try to keep track of exactly what you did just before the error shows up, like keyboard commands, mouse movements, printing, etc. Microsoft might have some info on it, type in the error message at their search site. Also if you send them an e-mail at mshelp@microsoft.com with just the word INDEX in the subject area, you will get a list of all Knowledge Base articles you can get free by e-mail. Tell your boss it's not you, it's the stupid machine.

getting the folowing error on a Windows 95 system.

An exception 0E has occurred at 0028: C0037E5B in VxD VREDDIR (01)+
00001023. This was called from 0028:C00 38EFC in VxD VREDIR (01) +

Do you have any suggestion on how to fix this. I have searched for answers and have been unsuccessful.

Getting same error in a blue screen of death. Building up new PC with FIC VA503+ mb. All hardware will be identified and work fine until I load cdrom software for my TDK VeloCD 8/4/32 rw CDROM. Does anyone know of a posted FAQ which shows how to make more use out of the error message pointer, the 0028:C0000xxxx thing. Thanks.
