I'm getting a Fatal exception OE at 0028:C02671B1 IN vxd vwin32(04) + 00002851 in one computer. It usually happens when I try to log into the local network (Running Novell 4.11 sp 6 network and a client of 3.something on the workstations) I've reinstalled, changed ram, changed nic and its no help. It only gives the error sometimes but mostly it just freezes after login. Does anyone have a clue what could be causing the problem. software - windows 95 a version with sp / netscape 4.5 / groupwise 5.2..

VWIN32 is part of McAfee Antivirus Soft.
If you have McAfee 4.02, try to exclude the c:\windows\system directory while McAfee scans. It has to do with Video Drivers.

Have a good one

I started getting this message after I installed Quicken 2000 and tried to print something. The error occurred after ANY application's print. I uninstalled Quicken and now I am fine. Intuit is no help on this error. What did you install just prior to this starting?

I have heard that problems with registry changes can cause this. You can download a program called 'Regclean' from Microsoft (FREE), which my friends say is great. Sadly, I get Fatal exception errors regularly, at completely random times. I ran Regclean, but just prior to finishing, I got a General Protection Fault in ..... error!
Flippantly, I think the only solution is for Microsoft to lose it's battle with the US Senate. That way at least there is a chance that eg Sun Microsystems might come up with a viable/compatible alternative without all this crap.
