Dear Forum,

Since I had my new PC built, I have experienced frequent crashes from "Fatal exception 0E" with a variety of programs.
The most failures are with Norton Systemworks 2001 (Antivirus and Speed Disk)
and Netscape 4.78.

Norton Antivirus:
Fatal exception 0E at 0028: C00458Cf in VxD VFAT(01)+000038F7

Norton Speed Disk:
Fatal exception 0E at 0028: C0047ABC in VxD VFAT(01)+00005AB4

Netscape 4.78 (Messenger):
Fatal exception 0E at 0028: C1789089 in VXD SFMAN(01)+00003C89

The system rebooted automatically after the Netscape error.

System Information:
Intel PCIII 933 MHz
ASUS P3V4X Motherboard
256 MB (PC-133) RAM
Adaptec 29160 Utra160 SCSI Card
IBM 18.3 GB Ultra160 SCSI HD
ATI RADEON 32 DDR Video Card
Plextor 32/12/10 CDRW (IDE)
IOMEGA 250 ZIP (IDE)
Sony Superstation Backup Tape

Any help would be greatly appreciated. While
I'm not a Windows expert, I have an extensive
UNIX background.

Thanks,

Evans

Dear forum,

I forgot to mention that my OS is Win98 SE,
which was installed from full version. Sorry
for the goof.

Evans
