Hi!, I bought a HP Surestore plus 7200 series Multiread CD writer and sometimes when I put in a blank CD a blue screen with fatal error in kernal.dll im running win95 on a pentium 133 and the same error comes up on other programs aswell, I have had my computer checked by so called computer technicians who said they had fixed it but it keeps comming up at odd times - do you have any ideas of how to fix it?.

it sounds more like the processor or mother board than the cd writer . If the processor cannot keep up with the transfer rate of the writer it may be overheating . make sure there is a fan on the processor first .
that error usually occurs when the signals are getting crossed from one device to another
