I have had this laptop for a couple years ( Toshiba 440 CDX) without any hardware problems. I notice that the fan comes on after 10 minutes and stays on till I shut the computer down. It never did this before..always off and on as the pc got hot or cool. By the way, the pc is not overheated, it's actually very cool, the fan is exhausting cold air. Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated. The air temperature in the room is very cool. Do I need to clean something or adjust a setting.. Thanks guys,,jerry

Some bios versions have a setting to allow the fan to be on always. When booting look for the message that enables entry to setup and press the related key. Once in here don't play, just find the heading thats related to power and look for the setting for fan always on and disable it. Good luck, Ron
