Does anyone know how to extract just the cab files from a recovery cd? I don't want to put all that HP crap and other stuff on there, just the WINME or WIN98. I would like to know how to manually remove and use just those files. Thanks.

Pop the cd in and search for the cab files. Copy them to the HDD. or find someone with a win 9x or me cd, and copy the cabs from that.

Check your hard dive for a CABs folder. It might already be there.
