Of late, i keep getting the error message when i log on to the Internet using MS IE. Following are 2 such error samples:

And everytime, IE would shut down and Explorer.exe is restarted.
The errors come up when i start typing something in the address bar of IExplorer.
What could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

boot to c:
c:\scanreg/fix [note the forward slash]

or
c:\scanreg/restore.
go back a few days/weeks before the computer had problems

As this "appears" to be an IE problem I would try IE Repair first. Go to Control Panel/Add-Remove and double click "Microsoft IE & Tools". If you get the Repair option give it a whirl.

IE & Windows are inter-related so if the above doesn't help then try scanreg /fix (harmless) or even scanreg /restore (fairly harmless) as already suggested.
