I have Win 98 and when I go to msconfig startup or Ctr Alt Del, Explorer is missing. Does anyone know how to restore it? Thank you

This might work:

Go to C:\Windows

click on Explorer.exe

Explorer doesn't show up in msconfig/startup because it is always started. It's a vital part of windows.

I thought it had been there before, but maybe not. Can you tell me how you can delete items from the startup? I have some programs showing up there that have been uninstalled. I don't suppose it matters as long as they are unselected, but it makes for a long list to look through.

Hi Judy

For clearing the items in startup menu , get System Mechanic 3.5f and clean up the mess.
